After meeting a number of LSPA representatives, Senator Harris made a video in support of our Gun Violence Prevention Rally as the 2nd Annual MFOL event.
After over two decades, this new House of Representatives passed two bipartisan bills regarding gun control. HR 8- universal background checks and HR 1112- closing the Charleston Loophole. Sydney Clinton represented us at the press conference with Representative Cunningham.
GUN SAFETY TOWNHALL
We partnered with Giffords, The Townhall Project, Levi Strauss & Co., and March For Lives to put on a Gun Safety Townhall with an esteemed panel made up of politicians, medical professionals, law enforcements, students, and advocates.

We were represented by Sydney Clinton at the press conference with Representative Cunningham and Representative Clyburn about closing the Charleston Loophole with the bipartisan bill HR 1112 (co-sponsored by Representative King, from New York).

Join us at Riverfront Park from 3:30-6:30 pm for a gun violence prevention rally. There will be speakers, entertainment, and food trucks for the 2nd annual MFOL Charleston.

We spent about 8 hours with the Parkland students to execute what we've been planning over the last month. Afterwards, we had a lot to process regarding the whole experience.

On July 31st, the Parkland student activists will be coming to Charleston in the 3rd leg of their "Road to Change" bus tour.

On June 14th, we officially transitioned from the Charleston March For Our Lives chapter to the Lowcountry Students for Political Action.

On March 24th, the march that was hosted at River Front Park in North Charleston, SC was the first event hosted by our founders. We started working together in March to put it together and it was a huge success.
